Friends of Oakley Creek activities provide a great opportunity to make a difference to your local environment and get to know people from your community.
We welcome individuals and community groups to assist with projects at Oakley Creek.

Volunteers planting at Oakley Creek Te Auaunga
Friends of Oakley Creek Te Auaunga is working to ensure the stream and its surrounds are protected and restored to their full ecological potential. To achieve this, we undertake regular activities including planting, weeding, monitoring and pest control.
We assist schools, community groups, tertiary institutions and individuals with plant propagation, planting, weed control, water quality monitoring, clean-ups, environmental education and research.
It’s great to have volunteers for all these occasions. Join us.
